Photogenic Professional Lighting has recently completed the relocation of its operations to a new 96,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located near Chicago.
Since its inception in 1903, Photogenic was located in Boardman, Ohio and operated out of two facilities that were 90 miles apart. The move to Chicago brings the manufacturing operations under the same roof as sales & marketing, engineering, and other administrative departments.
Smith-Victor Corporation, which is under the same ownership as Photogenic, is a 131 year-old
photographic lighting manufacturer and was also relocated to the new Illinois facility from Griffith, Indiana.
“The move to Chicago gives us access to a large pool of great talent and the investment in the new facility positions us for continued growth and future expansion”, said Ken Orlando, President. “The consolidation of our operations will enable us to be more efficient and responsive to our customer’s needs”, Orlando said.
The last year has been tremendously busy, yet very productive, for Photogenic. Besides construction of the new facility, in May the Company will publish a new 60-page 4-color full-line catalog and it has a completely new website under construction which is expected to launch sometime this spring.
Photogenic manufactures high-end strobe equipment and accessories that professionals have come to rely upon. Photogenic continues to upgrade its products, and has recently announced a new line of PowerLights called Solair. The Solair product line offers Constant Color technology for use in digital imaging. The company also has partnered with PocketWizard and just introduced wireless triggering capabilities throughout the PowerLight and Solair product line.
Photogenic Professional Lighting is now located at 1268 Humbracht Circle, Bartlett, Illinois 60103-1631. It’s new telephone number is (630)830-2500 and fax is (630)830-2525. It’s website remains www.photogenicpro.com.
